What iOS4 brings to ipod touch 2g?

Well cupertino did it again...people were waiting eagerly for the update as it was major not minor tweaks! As they say "They changed everything again!" but we think its too early to say that..Anyways apple brings many of the most awaited updates to iphone and ipod touch users(iphone 2G and ipod touch 1G not supported :\ ) with the free upgrade to iOS4!! Finally Multitasking is there in iOS4 but selective and not for all previous devices..:(

Apple iOS 4 Features

We will detail here about the features tested on ipod Touch 2G...No multitasking and background options but latter can be solved with cydia(we dont recommend it)

Here goes the list:
1. FOLDERS
Thats the best thing that could have happened to iphone OS after multitasking or even before that for some. Having all the amazing apps from appstore on more than zillion pages and finding them was a task. Even grouping pages according to category didnt help much in case of large amount of apps.

Folders helps to get rid of that cluster of icons. A folder can support 12 apps and a page can support 20 folders(including dock) therefore 20X12= 240 apps per page. Thats huge compared to previous 20 apps per page.

2. iBOOKS
Yes the same thing that made iPad famous. Books are on iphones and itouch now too!! The new app can be downloaded from appstore and can be used to read ebooks easily. It lags on our iPod touch 2g but its still beautiful!!

It supports features like bookmarking a page, highlighting text etc. Worth downloading!!

3. NEW HOMESCREENS
A set of new backgrounds/homescreens/wallpapers whatever you call them has been introduced. Minimalist wallpapers that look really nice...and by nice we mean actually nice!!

4. SPELL CHECK

Finally!!! A boon for users with no physical keyboard. If you type fast you are bound to get some words wrong and this spell check makes it really easy to type. It not only suggests you the right word but automatically places the right word in case you ignored the notification!! Beautiful isnt it?

Even if you enter a wrong spelling, it underlines it with red marks! Way more easy to type now!!

Other features include Airplane Mode which turns off your modem, new inputBox template with a very small dropshadow effect.

We will update with more features as soon as we come to know about them!! Still Testing!

Youtube enables Video Caching

Folks at youtube have been working really hard to make youtube more efficient and wonderful. When you are just about to believe that Youtube is perfect...boom...they unpack a new feature. This time they have incorporated video caching.
General Scenario: You are watching a video, its halfway but streamed to its max, suddenly u hit ur refresh tab accidentally..oops...streaming again from beginning!
Now: You are watching a video, its halfway but streamed to its max, suddenly u hit ur refresh tab accidentally..OMG! no restreaming needed the video is already loaded..or cached!!
We found out it does have a time limit but cant confirm this now..can be our misinterpretation too!!
But anyways these feature is like cherry on top..Beautiful Youtube!! Keep em Coming!!
